Gold Nugget Soccer Club (GNSC) is offering a Youth Referee Fellowship Grant to eligible youth referees. First-time referees may receive a $130 grant to help cover CNRA registration and a new referee uniform kit. Previously licensed youth referees may receive a $50 grant to help purchase club-colored referee jerseys.
To qualify, youth candidates must: (1) be born between January 1, 2009, and September 1, 2013; (2) live within GNSC boundaries, including the Black Oak Mine Unified School District or Gold Trail School District; (3) have played for GNSC in 2 of the last 3 years; and (4) maintain a scholastic GPA of 3.25 or higher.
Additional details include:
- The application deadline for this GNSC scholarship is September 23, 2026.
- Candidates must complete the CNRA online class and attend an in-person field session.
- A local field session will be held on September 25 at 3:00 p.m. at Northside School. Online class requirements must be completed before attending the field session.
- After completing the CNRA Grassroots Referee course, referees must officiate at least 10 Gold Nugget Soccer matches across at least 3 weekends during the 2026 fall season.
- Reimbursement checks will be issued on or around November 1 to qualifying referees.
