Season at a Glance
GNSC offers an exciting 10 week season with player and family friendly locations to practice and play at both the rec and select level. Lighting has been a recent focus on practice fields, and it is our hope to continue to provide this at all training locations when needed.
Recreational games for our younger age groups will again be played locally between the Lotus Field and the District Office Field in Georgetown. Kicking things off with our traditional "Opening Day" event, the goal for 2013 will be to improve the quality and experience of this special start to our season. The Georgetown site has been selected for our August 24th Opening Day and will feature improved pictures, games, fun in the sun activities, food and Jamba Juice. We want to provide the most exciting and positive start for our soccer minded youth. With volunteer support, for the third season we will hold games between Georgetown and Lotus for the younger divisions, and the schedule will shift locations (first 4 games in Georgetown, second 4 in Lotus, last 2 games TBD) to support games in both regions- Ages 5 to 9 play on 3 different sized fields at one location during the season, covering the U6, U8, and U10 age groups of mixed gender (both boys and girls on the same team).
GNSC Age Matrix- to help you determine your childs age group.
The U12 to U19 age groups (10-18 year olds) are pure gender (boys and girls separated) and will typically play 5 games home at Golden Sierra High School or Henningsen Park in Lotus. Away games will be typically in the nearby areas competing with neighboring clubs and usually within 20 to 30 minutes from Garden Valley.
We finish the season with possible Soccerfest Tournaments available, and All Star Program. Our All Star Tournament may be done internally within Gold Nugget Soccer Club for 2013!
